A house is more than just walls, a roof, and a floor. It’s a window into the lifestyle and culture of a people. In his stunning new book BAHAY: A Tour of Traditional Filipino Homes, Adrian Panadero pays homage to six iconic architectural structures that represent popular, traditional Filipino dwellings. These pages reveal a fascinating cross-section of the lifestyle habits, beliefs, and age-old practices that our Filipino forebears have passed down through generations of home builders. Get to know the Philippines, from as far north as the nigadagada a vahay of Batanes to as far south as the gono bong of South Cotabato.

Meticulously researched and vividly imagined, this ground-breaking book focuses on architecture as a way to understand and preserve our history as a people. Have fun making your own miniature paper models—and discover how houses are built the Filipino way!
